Within a context largely characterized by a shortage of healthcare professionals, it is essential to offer innovative, efficient and evidence-based solutions and focused on healthcare beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>Through research, education and innovation, the Healthcare systems and interprofessionality Lab actively contributes to the evolution of professional practices and addressing the real needs of the populations.<\/p>\n<h2>Missions<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Optimize healthcare systems by fostering interprofessional collaboration, promoting the patient-partner engagement, the appropriate use of medications, and integrating technological innovation within research and educational activities<\/li>\n<li>Develop and promote evidence-based healthcare practices to ensure efficient, integrated and patient-centered care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Research<\/h2>\n<p>Our Lab focuses its research on several key areas, based on clinical studies, systematic literature reviews and projects conducted with patient- partners:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organizing health systems and collaborative-care practice<\/li>\n<li>Evidence-Based Practice in public health<\/li>\n<li>Interprofessional and Interinstitutional Education (IPE)<\/li>\n<li>Appropriate Use of Medications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our Lab closely collaborates on regional, national and international levels as to successfully carry out its projects. Our Lab also supports women\u2019s academic careers, notably through the mentoring program &#171;<a href=\"https:\/\/mentorat-hes.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Support for Academic Careers in Health and Social Sciences<\/a>\u201d offered by HES-SO.<\/p>\n<h2>Education<\/h2>\n<p>Our Lab contributes to teaching in initial training programs (Ann\u00e9e prop\u00e9deutique Sant\u00e9 and Bachelor in Nursing Sciences), as well as in continuing education, as well as postgraduate education (CAS-DAS). Healthcare systems are analyzed at the micro, meso and macro levels, while interprofessionality is applied to pedagogical approaches that foster interaction with simulated patients, students from various health disciplines, as well as professionals from the health and social care sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Our Lab organizes and coordinates large-scale interprofessional and interinstitutional education initiatives in partnership with Faculty of Biology and Medicine, University of Lausanne, the Haute \u00c9cole de Sant\u00e9 \u2013 Vaud (HESAV), la Haute \u00e9cole de travail social et de la sant\u00e9 Lausanne (HETSL), and Lausanne University Hospital CHUV.
