Dr Valérie Santschi est Professeur ordinaire et responsable du LAB-Enseignement et Recherche Systèmes de santé, Ethique, Interprofessionnalité (LAB SEI) à la Haute Ecole de la Santé la Source, HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale, Lausanne, Suisse.

Pharmacienne, elle a obtenu un doctorat en sciences pharmaceutiques (avec distinction) à l’Université de Genève dans le domaine de l’adhésion aux médicaments. Elle a ensuite effectué un postdoctorat de trois ans en recherche sur les services de santé et les revues systématiques avec méta-analyses à l’Université de Montréal et à l’Université McGill, Canada.

Ses activités de recherche portent sur les services de santé, la collaboration interprofessionnelle, les technologies de la santé ainsi que sur la réalisation de revues systématiques avec méta-analyses en santé publique. Soutenue par des financements suisses et européens, elle mène des études sur les systèmes de santé en mettant l’accent sur les pratiques de soins collaboratifs, la prise médicamenteuse et la santé connectée (évaluation de nouveaux systèmes connectés de prise médicamenteuse et de maintien à domicile). Elle est aussi active au sein du programme de mentorat HES-SO afin de soutenir les carrières académiques des jeunes femmes des domaine santé et travail social de la HES-SO (https://mentorat-hes.ch/)
